My Finished Short Film

I chose to do a short film as it could easily be shown on local television or be put on social networking sites like Facebook and it could also be put on YouTube. This would bring my campaign to a wider audience as more and more people are using technology and people would share it and sent it to their friends, resulting in more people seeing it and thus getting more attention for my campaign.

I mainly used my own photography and film for this but unfortunately had to use a few images off of the Internet as I was unable to film them myself. If I were to make this film again, I would definitely alter it so all of it was my own photography and film.

I used music in my film to set a mood as I had slower, more classical music playing when showing the state of the field to emphasize the seriousness of the issue and to draw sympathy from the audience and I had more upbeat, modern-sounding music when it showed what the field could look like and when I showed my campaign details i.e. logo and website to make it seem more positive to the audience.

This is the second draft of my film as in the first one the font was smaller, less bond and the film was slightly longer but after my feedback from the second presentation I changed the font and its animation to make it easier to read.

My Finished Posters

I chose to do posters as I could post them up all around the local area and so when dog walkers, who are my target audience, walk their dogs they will see the posters and be interested as it applies to them. It could also be pinned up in public buildings like community centres so that more local people can learn about it and get involved.

I included a dog in my posters as it will appeal to my target audience and I showed him looking sad at problems in the field like rubbish or graffiti to make the audience feel more empathetic towards the cause. I used a mainly black and white theme to emphasize the seriousness of the issue and to make it more formal and professional-looking.

In the writing in the lower half of the posters I used rule of three to emphasize the problems "with rubbish, overgrown weeds and broken fences." I also used negative language to describe the current state of the field like "dismal" and "misused" and then used positive words like "clean" and "spacious" to describe how it could be. At the bottom of the posters I included my team and campaign logos so people know who is behind the campaign and the website where people can go for more information and find out how to get involved.

My Second Presentation with Class Feedback

Positive Feedback :)

Logo good because it was green which ties in the with idea of her campaign and the environment.

Video shows how bad the field is at the moment.

Good ideas, very good presentation. Answered all questions within the presentation. Ideas presented clearly and linked back to the brief.

Good clear presentation. Understood her ideas she explained them well.

Good eye contact with the audience. Logo was good linked with her name. Posters were good, said what was on the posters.

Really good and clear presentation with lots of information and good ideas. Covered every area of the campaign and explained points well

Clear presentation, good selection of music and rhythm of photos to match and clearly got her message across

I like Milly's presentation, i think she worked really well on her own and added a lot of information.

Very interesting presentation with an entertaining video to show exactly what the idea is. Well done!

Negative Feedback :(

 Could speak clearer

Writing on video too quick to read and take in.

She could have used her own photography.

Perhaps speak a bit louder

A bit too much talking

maybe change colours of the logo as its hard to see

This will influence my campaign as I will edit the video to make the writing move slower and edit the music to make it sound better.
